Thursday 23 October 2014 DRAWINGS/PAINTINGS 5.30 pm – admission free

Peaceful incursions into nature rendered in subtle, agile strokes of pencil, brush and pen: luxuriant, minute trees. Rows, woods, marking a peaceful path – a route winding through distant landscapes, mysterious and precious. Ancient and modern techniques on paper and panel. The sagacity of drawing meets the levity of colour in rediscovered places, explored once again in harmonious gestures in a journey become vision. Nirjan was born in Rome. He is a self-taught artist with many interests and prefers not to be pigeon-holed. At twenty, he became a follower of the guru Osho Rajneesh, in India, an experience that led him to dedicate himself to teaching energy transformation and meditation techniques. In the field of literature, he has organised seminars and readings exploring mystic poetry and hermetic literature, and put together a course on the philosophical art of Jean Pierre Velly. He is also active in the field of music, as a performer of harmonic singing. He has collaborated with Pierre Higonnet’s Galleria del Leone. He lives and works in Venice.
