Thursday 6 November 2014 PAINTING 5.30 pm – admission free

Painting that traces the seasons, the changing of the light in hill and lagoon landscapes that dissolve and blend into a purely emotional representation given over to the vaporous movement of the paint. Azure blues, reds, pinks, yellows, and white become players in an exploration that travels through figurative memories, the freedom of abstraction, a love for drawing and a chromatic “physicality”. A continuously evolving journey for a pictorial act in constant search of new stimuli and confirmations. Andreina Battel was born in Portogruaro, near Venice. Her artistic education is tied to Venice’s International School of Graphics and the city’s Atelier Aperto, where she took courses in techniques of engraving and picture-making. She currently attends the Academy of Fine Art in Venice. Creatively restless, in addition to her painting and graphical work, she is exploring other expressive paths through sculpture and installations using recycled materials. She works as a draughtsperson for the textile, bookbinding and art printing sectors. She lives and works in Venice.
