SOLO EXHIBITION BY KATIA SCOTTI
Buildings, geometric structures, landscapes and figures, sky and water: places of a dreaming that suffers no limits, that clings to the wings of an aeroplane, that scales a skyscraper pushing through clouds, or through the dunes of a desert, that sails over the sea inside a bubble, or pedals a bicycle suspended against a blue sky. It is a surreal path to “painting new dimensions and places where man can embrace the infinite”. Katia Scotti was born in Feltre. After specialising in artistic disciplines at the Leonardo da Vinci upper-secondary school in Belluno, she began a degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, graduating in 2002 before specialising in writing for theatre and television. In addition to her “easel” paintings, she has produced murals and frescoes, and set designs. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. She lives and works in Venice, where she teaches art subjects at upper-secondary-school level.
Exhibition curated by Emanuele Horodniceanu.
On display until 30 March.
