LA NOCHE DE LOS CUERPOS
Silvia Favaretto presents her new book “La noche de los cuerpos” (Proyecto Editorial la Chifurnia, El Salvador, 2014).
Can there be a dialogue that reaches over space and time? Yes, undoubtedly. Every work of poetry forms partnerships and gives rise to others that, one way or another, manage to grasp its message and its legacy. In this new work, the writer establishes a tense, and intense, dialogue with the Argentine poet Alejandra Pizarnjk, in whose work and existential experience she has found a profound emotional and stylistic consonance.
Silvia Favaretto is a writer and teacher. She lives in Venice. She has published books of poetry: “La carne del tiempo” (Artificios, Bogotà, 2002), “La tetra santità e il variopinto orrore” (Penna d’autore, Torino, 2004), “Parole d’acqua/Palabras de agua” (Ibiskos, Empoli, 2007), the personal anthology “Entre la carne y las palabras” (Atemporia, Messico, 2008), and the book of poetry “Jardín ardiente” (Casa de poesia, Costa Rica, 2011).
